HEAD COACH

Martin Taylor - LTA Level 3 Licensed Coach

Martin started coaching in 1998 and has been Head Coach at Hadley Wood Tennis Club, Kendal Hall Country Club and Gosling Tennis Centre.  He was also Tennis Centre Manager at Gosling for 5 years before becoming Head of Sport at Gosling Sports Park in 2003.

Having left this position to follow new interests Martin wished to get involved at a local tennis club.  Martin has already restructed the Club's Junior programme and works closely with Ian and Nancey in order to strengthen the junior section of the Club.  Having been involved in club tennis since the age of 8 Martin is very pleased to be back in a local club environment.

Martin has captained a women's team to the National Club League title, coached numerous National standard juniors and run programmes involving many hundreds of players.  Martin is enjoying being out on court again and is happy coaching any standard of player.

Martin passed his LTA Level 1 Award in 1998, Level 2 Award in 1989 and Level 3 Award in 1991.  Martin has a full LTA Level 3 Coaching License and a Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclose Certificate.

MINI-TENNIS CO-ORDINATOR & TENNIS ASSISTANT

Nancey Jeffroy

Nancey Jeffroy (nee Brooke) rejoined St Albans Tennis Club in December 2003, having previously been a member from the age of 5.  As a junior she represented the county and region and went on to play at National level.

As Mini Tennis Co-ordinator Nancey will be establishing a MiniTennis programme that can be enjoyed by junior members aged 10 and under.

For the club to reap the benefits from introducing mini tennis Nancey is working towards obtaining the club an LTA Mini Tennis Accreditation.  Such recognition will help to provide the club with the best mini tennis opportunities and ultimately encourage new club members.

Ian Graham

Ian is 26 years old, has an LTA Level 2 license, plays to a very high standard and works already with numerous Hertfordshire/Regional standard players.
